Role of a Design and Innovation Fellow

Ambassadors

  • Spread awareness and engagement with the Design and Innovation program to the student body, LJCDS community, and greater San Diego community

Active Creators

  • Students actively work on projects outside of class and enter design competitions

Student Resources

  • Fellows are student representatives of the design and innovation program

  • Students within the fellowship share their expertise with other members and non-affiliated students to further projects

Membership Requirements

Acceptance

  • Enrolled in at least second Honors Design and Innovation class

i.e. Honors: Design Thinking to Open Entrepreneurship, Innovation Technology Studio, Robotics or AP Computer Science

  • Must have at least a B+

  • At least 7 tree points (badges awarded based on skill level)

Gold (4 points), White (2 points), Wood (1 point)

Continued Membership

  • Attendance at Lab Meetings once per cycle

  • If no longer enrolled in an honors class, students must complete at least one project during lab meetings
